Allegiant Transcription Services uses a top quality dictation and transcription platform that is sought after in this industry.  When a hand-   held digital recorder is docked to a computer or uses the call-in service, dictations are AUTOMATICALLY (no user intervention required) uploaded to an EMDAT server through the Internet, which is secured using 128 bit technology using InSync® . This small application resides on the client's workstation, in the Windows tray of their PC.  For more information on this process, please see the Overview below or our Support page.

Overview:

The EMDAT suite of applications is a web-based system that gives Allegiant Transcription Services and your practice the ability to manage and execute the dictation and transcription process.  Because EMDAT is completely Internet-based, no hardware or software is required at the medical facility to enjoy an efficient and accurate transcription of dictations.

After recording one or several dictations, clinicians dock their recorder to a workstation with the InSync® application running on their computer  (Toll-free call-in dictation is also available). InSync® automatically uploads the dictation file to one of EMDAT's servers where it is inventoried and made available for transcription.  It is pooled and managed, as previously assigned by Allegiant Transcription Services using the InCommand®  and is made available to the Medical Language Specialist.  The Medical Language Specialist uses the InScribe®  application to automatically download dictations and to transcribe reports.  After the dictation is transcribed, the report is immediately available on-line for viewing, editing, printing and electronic signature through the use of the InQuiry® applications.
